German A1 Online Course

What will I learn in the German A1 online course?

Can understand and use familiar, everyday expressions and very simple phrases aimed at satisfying specific needs. Can introduce themselves and others and ask other people questions about themselves - e.g. where they live, what people they know or what things they have - and can answer questions of this kind. Can communicate in a simple way if the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.

  • Vocabulary:

Here you will learn the basic vocabulary you need for any conversation in German: introducing yourself, asking for directions, shopping, eating and drinking and much more.

  • Grammar:

The grammar of the A1 course forms the basis for your future success in German. Basics such as gender, case, conjugation of verbs in the present and perfect tenses, separable verbs, etc. form the basis of German grammar for beginners.

How long does the online course take?

How long you need for the German A1 online course depends entirely on you. An intensive A1 course at a German as a foreign language (DaF) school usually takes around 200 hours - that's 2 months at 25 hours a week (5 hours a day).

If you have less time, you can do all the modules online. Whether you are on the road or at home on the sofa.

Which A1 test can I take?

At the end of the course you can take a recognised test such as the Start Deutsch 1 test from the Goethe Institute.

DEUTSCH-FLOW does not offer an official A1 test.

Do I have to do the German A1 online course alone?

No, you do not! DEUTSCH-FLOW is represented on many different social networks.

There you can exchange ideas with other German learners - and if you have any questions, just write to us. We'll be happy to help!
